•There is an
abrupt change(arrow) from normal
non-kerat-inizing esophageal squamous epithelium on the
right to the basophilic dysplastic epithelium on the left
•At this power the degree of dysplasia can not be evaluated
•Note the intact basal layer without any evidence of
invasion into the lamina propria
