•Nuclei are enlarged with marked variation in
nuclear size
and shape
•The nuclear/cytoplasmic ratio is markedly increased
•Abnormal mitotic figures are seen(arrow)
•Note the architectural disarray with a loss of the orderly
epithelial layering seen in normal tissue
