The polyp contains a mixture of normal gastric glands with the hallmark feature being dilated gland like structures containg both parietal and chief cells

Unknown.
Pathogenesis

Unknown.
May be hyperplasia or hamartoma.,
Epidemiology

May be associated with Gardner's syndrome or familial polyposis of colon.
Also sporadic
Identified in adulthood
General Gross Description

Small mucosal lump (<5 mm) which may be single or multiple.
General Microscopic Description

One or more dilated glands.
Lined by normal although compressed epithelium.
Clinical Correlation

Asymptomatic, incidental finding.
Not associated with progression to malignancy.
