•Histiocyte(black arrow) characteristic of those found with
MAI
•The presence of this finding is not diagnostic of MAI but
should raise an index of suspicion particularly in an
immunodeficiant host
•Similar histiocytes are found in Whipple's Disease in H&E
stained sections
