| H.pylori is a curved or "s" shaped gram negative rod
H.pylori is not tissue invasive and is only found on the
surface of the mucosal epithelium
The organism can be seen with a variety of stains, but the
most common one employed is a silver preparation which stains
the organism black
Note the lack of inflammation around the organism itself
