Duodenal Ulcer
Duodenal Ulcer

Large deeply penetrating ulcer of duodenal mucosa(arrow)
Normal duodenal mucosa is seen to the right of the ulcer
On the left normal lobulated tan pancreas is seen(green arrow)
The base of the ulcer is hemorrhagic and may be penetrating into the underlying pancreas
The presence of pancreas beneath the ulcer identifies this as a posterior penetrating ulcer
