Squamous Metaplasia

•The epithelium (Ep) of the bladder mucosa has undergone squamous metaplasia. The urothelium is no longer transitional in character.
•The lamina propria (LP) shows chronic inflammation.
•A portion of the muscular wall (M) is noted in the lower field.
