Drug Induced Interstitial Nephritis

The interstitium is widened by mononuclear inflammatory cells and edema.
The inflammatory cells on close examination consist largely of lymphocytes with a few scattered eosinophils.
Unlike chronic pyelonephritis, the tubules are neither atrophic nor dilated.
