General Microscopic Description
•KEY feature is the presence of glandular and stromal
MITOSES
•glands are straight with cells exhibiting pseudo-
stratification
•no evidence of secretion; blood vessels inconspicuous
•stromal edema present in the mid portion of the cycle
•dating is not attempted
|
Clinical Correlation
•presence of proliferative endometrium is
normal in the
follicular phase of the cycle
•growth under estrogen stimulation as a response to
FSH and LH
