In this particular field, one notices the cells are relatively large with more cytoplasm than one sees in a small cell lymphoma.
The nuclei are large vesicular, with multiple chromocenters.

Most common of the intermediate grade lympomas
General Gross Description

As with all lymphomas, the affected node is enlarged and appears homogeneous on cut surface
General Microscopic Description

These tumors contain predominately large cells, which may have both cleaved and non-cleaved nuclei.
The cell of origin is believed to be the centroblast, a cell in the center of the germinal follicle.
Clinical Correlation

The long term prognosis is not good
