| Malignant Lymphoma - high grade small non-cleaved cell type (Burkitt's)
| A high power view of a field from a Burkitt's lymphoma.
At the very center of this image is a tissue macrophage.
The nucleus of this cell lies somewhat towards the
bottom of the cell itself.
The pale staining material is the cytoplasm of this
cell.
Lying at the center of the cytoplasm is a degenerating
nucleus, presumably a malignant cell that has been
phagocytosed by the histiocyte.
To the right and above the histiocyte are two cells
that are undergoing mitosis.
A Burkitts lymphoma is a particularly aggressive form
of lymphoma and multiple mitotic figures are often seen
in this type of malignancy.
