| Hodgkins Disease - lymphocyte depletion
| A high power view of a lymphocyte depleted Hodgkins
disease.
Numerous characteristic Reed-Sternberg cells are seen
in this field.
In between these cells, the most prominent feature is
the presence of bundles of collagen that
appear to make up most of the tissue.
A sparse number of lymphocytes and other cell types are
also seen.
Lymphocyte depleted Hodgkins disease is characterized
by abundant Reed-Sternberg cells, formation of collagen
bundles, and relative lack of cells between the
proliferating Reed-Sternberg cells.
